On January 17, the LTW Accelerator and TIM Porgram hosted the first Technovation Challenge, a global technology entrepreneurship program designed especially for young women ages 10-18. The Technovation Challenge was conceived to inspire girls and young women to solve real-world problems relevant to their communities, with modern technology.
Participating in the challenge were 45 young women and girls from local high schools. They were organised into 9 teams, who over 12 weeks will create a mobile app. TIM students and staff started the young entrepreneurs on their challenge with a tutorial on mobile application development.
